Our Story

From Savile Row to Sungei Wang

Vincent Cheah spent over ten years working and training beside master tailors in London, Florence, and Hong Kong. He earned his Certified Master Tailoring Diploma at the Savile Row Academy, where the craft is measured in floating canvases and hand-sewn milanese buttonholes rather than turnaround times.

Returning home to Kuala Lumpur in 2018, Vincent saw a gap between the fast-fashion made-to-measure boutiques flooding the malls and the real bespoke traditions he had studied abroad. He opened a modest studio on the edge of the Golden Triangle, determined to bring uncompromising garment construction, adapted for the tropics, to his hometown.

A House of Artisans

Ahmad Rizal leads our pattern cutting room, Sarah Wong guides clients through fabric and style, and Vincent oversees every construction detail personally. Together with the rest of our team of six artisans, we draft an individual paper pattern for every single client, never sharing blocks between customers.

Unlike storefronts that outsource production to overseas factories, every cut, baste, and final press happens inside our Bukit Bintang atelier. That discipline is what allows us to guarantee the Savile Row Academy standard on each garment that leaves ONE Exclusive Tailor.

Built for the Klang Valley

Kuala Lumpur's 90 percent humidity makes traditional heavy wool suits punishing to wear. We curate tropical-weight Holland & Sherry wools, high-twist Fresco cloth, Irish linens, and cotton-silk blends that stay composed from an air-conditioned Exchange 106 office to a humid walk along Jalan Sultan Ismail.

Whether a client is preparing for a TRX boardroom pitch or a hotel wedding in KLCC, our philosophy stays the same: honest advice, authentic materials, and a fit that only comes from patterns drafted by hand for one person alone.
